. the fbi has now identified one of them as 19-year-old dzhokhar tsarnaev. he's still on the run. the other man is his brother, 26-year-old tamerlan tsarnaev. he's the older brother. he is now dead, killed in a wild overnight police shootout. these two brothers said to be from a russian region near chechnya and believed to have been in the u.s. for quite some time. in the hours since the fbi first made the images public, we also received this chilling photo. look at this. can you see it? we've sort of blocked -- we've blocked the faces. it's actually not that user friendly now that we've blocked the faces, but it appears to show one of the suspects standing behind the 8-year-old little boy, little martin richard, who was murdered at that marathon at the second location. this is the second bombing on monday. you can see the backpack on the bottom, you can see the suspect in the back, and you can see the 8-year-old in the full screen picture that settle original of what we're showing you here. >> that suspect, disok dzhokhar tsarnaev, his uncle was pronouncing his name differently in the i in

in came edge about, massachusetts, a chechen, apparently. dzhokhar tsarnaev. tell us what you know. >> 19 years old from overseas, been in the u.s. for more than a year. both suspects said to be brothers. as we watch that. i want to make one last point here, if i could, come out live here to our location on boylston street. i want the audience to understand just how easy it would have been for these two people to simply walk away from the scene. runners were coming down eastbound here on boylston street. the explosions are dropped at quarter mile down the street. both bombers are walking west on boylston street. it's an easy thing to duck into gloucester or newberry street or com avenue and then cross the river, which is only a quarter mile away and that takes you to the intersection of vasser and main, which is where police were called in last night at 10:30 p.m. after the report of a robbery at a local convenience station. that's really -- that seems to be the best tip yet that we have gotten, to notify authorities that these guys were in the area and they were the people that the f.b
the suspect might be. the suspect who we're looking -- who they're looking for is named dzhokhar tsarnaev. this is his picture. dzhokhar tsarnaev. he is originally of chechen origin. he's lived here quite a long time. he and his brother came here many, many years ago. his brother, tamerlan, with the same last name, he was killed overnight in the shootout we've been talking about with police that john miller just laid out for us in watertown. so they have not found the younger brother yet. he is believed to be heavily armed, perhaps carrying explosives. he's obviously proven to be dangerous. and right now there is just a full-court press trying to find out where he is because until they can neutralize him, there is a potential that the threat goes forward because we don't know what else, if anything, he might have planned or have been up to. and also at the same time, on another channel, investigators are trying to find out if these two brothers were simply working together as a small two-man cell or if they were working with something larger. at this point we have no evidence of anyone el
the question is, is dzhokhar tsarnaev that suspect, in that boat without any way out? and are some of the shots and explosions heard in the last few minutes somehow linked to him, from him, being aimed at him? is he still alive? we just don't know. but we do know that it's on going and it is all happening right now at 67 franklin street in watertown, massachusetts, and f course this comes at a time when this city only minutes earlier had gotten a reprieve from no less than the governor to come out your homes to relax, your guard can be let down. you can ease up and then the shots started firing up. within just the last half hour or so, we're told better than 30 shots fired. and within the last five minutes or so we're told at least three large explosions heard. eric sawn? -- sean in boston with the very latest. do we know in fact that the suspect hiding in that boat backyard is dzhokhar tsarnaev? >> reporter: we only know from reports and from sources it is believed that it is the suspect number two who was, reportedly inside that boat. we heard some of those bangs just a few minutes ago, and

of police searching door to door, floor to floor for the 19-year-old dzhokhar tsarnaev. he escaped after an overnight gun battle, which left his older brother dead. police in the suburb of watertown, massachusetts say they're recovering a significant amount of home made explosives at the scenes of last night's violence. and they also say there is no proof yet, repeat, no proof yet of accomplices. a u.s. official says the latest intelligence shows at least as of now no indications the suspects had any direct links to a major al qaeda group or any of its affiliates. let's get the very latest now on the manhunt and the investigation. our national correspondent susan candiotti is joining us. update our viewers here in the united states and around the world, susan, on what we know right now. >> reporter: well, certainly, wolf. the investigation and the search for what happened to the young man we've been calling suspect number two, the younger tsarnaev, has not ended by any stretch of the imagination. they've been working ever since the violence began last night, ever since the manhunt began.

. and the older brother, tamerlan tsarnaev shot dead. his brother dzhokhar escaped on foot even as police shut down neighborhoods. just about an hour ago all hell broke loose again as a neighbor in watertown called police and said "i see blood on the shed in my backyard." police responded. you may have seen it live on shepard smith. cars from everywhere converged on the site. there is a boat in the backyard with canvas covering the boat. and that is where the suspect now lies, wounded, according to the authorities. once again, it's a very difficult situation because of all of the explosive components here. don't know what he has. you go in, boom! , everybody goes up. this is a mark of a terrorist. this is what these people do. so, let's go to watertown. let's take you back there where fox news correspondent mike tobin is standing by as well as fox news producer chris laible. anything you can add to what i just said. >> explosion may be a strong word i describe them as pops. what they remind me of is the israeli bomb disposal robot that when they find a suspicious package the robot would approa
